Army recovers arms, ammunition in Hotran Amrohi in Kupwara | KNO

Kupwara, July 15 (KNO) : Army on Monday claimed to have recovered two Assault rifles, four magazines and six rounds of bullets during a search operation launched in Hotran Amrohi woods in northern belt of Kashmir.  An official while confirming told KNO that, “Army’s 17 Bihar regiment spotted some suspicious objects lying within dense woods of Hotran village in Amrohi woods following which special team was rushed to spot for its recovery.”  The special team recovered two AK-56, four magazines and six rounds of live bullets, the official said.  Earlier, intense searches were launched in the area after specific inputs regarding some suspicious movement. A police officer part of investigating team said that, some arms and ammunitions has been recovered by Army within the woods and further investigation in this regard has been taken up.(KNO)
